Joining the Dots - Public Services: sourcing from the third sector

This one day free conference and workshop will examine the findings of the Social Impact Measurement (SIM) project. Commissioned by EEDA, the SIM project undertook work to enable third sector organisations – in particular social enterprises – to trade more effectively with the public sector.

Event purpose

To promote the findings of the Social Impact Measurement project and to enable the sharing of good practice within the East of England

  • explore ways in which social enterprise development can be supported, particularly through the changing roles of local authorities
  • understand the use of social and economic impact measurement tools that enable third sector organisations to provide evidence of the impact of their work and compete for tenders
  • discover ways that public authorities can commission services so that the barriers experienced by third sector organisations are minimised

     (3) Supporting local social enterprise development
